Arts Student of the Month, Phazy Dollosa (Dance)

Phazy is a grade 11 student at Garden City and is 16 years old. Her dance journey began in grade nine when she decided to start dancing for fun. Phazy’s friends originally encouraged her to audition for a dance team, and her love of dance has only grown since then. Currently, Phazy is a dedicated member of Reality Check who enjoys being with others and is willing to work hard to achieve her goals. She enjoys dancing on the team because it brings people together and teaches everyone how to work hard as an individual, as well as a group. Although Phazy trains mostly in hip-hop, she appreciates all other dance styles as well. Phazy is working towards Reality Check's Heart and Stroke Foundation Fundraiser that will be happening in December and the dance showcase that will be happening this January with her dance class. In addition, Phazy won the Grade 10 Reality Check Student of the Year award at last year’s arts award ceremony. Other than dancing, Phazy enjoys being a cadet, and singing in her free time. Phazy’s future goals are to improve as a dancer as well as to expand her leadership skills when choreographing. Overall, Phazy is a hard worker who brings joy to those around her. With her amazing leadership and work ethic she will achieve all of her goals and lift those around her.
