Arts Student of the month, Kaity Cummings (Drama)
Kaitlin Cummings, or Kaity for short, is an enthusiastic Grade 10 drama student. Kaity is 15 years old and has partaken in drama since Grade 7. Kaity originally started taking drama because she thought it would be a fun and interesting class. As the years went on, Kaity started to expand her horizons into more drama activities. For instance, she is currently a cast member in this year’s production, Little Shop of Horrors. Kaity loves everything about drama, especially making people feel different emotions. She says there is nothing like connecting with an audience, whether they are laughing or crying. Kaity is an outgoing and happy-go-lucky individual, sharing her contagious smile with those around her. Seeing outstanding actors and actresses in productions, as well as movies, inspires Kaity to be her best self. Looking to the future, Kaity wants to participate in more workshops along with taking part in more plays. She hopes to continue acting as she gets older, maybe even becoming a drama teacher. Whatever Kaity’s future has in store, it will surely be bright because of her kindness and drive to be the best at her craft.
